Experiments to return to

Mouse egg cells first; then pineal cells, telomeres and the much larger question of a whole life.

Egg cells and cellular tasks

The mouse-oocyte experiment concerns post-ovulatory aging in culture. The rat pineal-cell paper reports changes in AANAT and pCREB synthesis and melatonin in the medium. The gingival stem-cell study concerns neurogenic differentiation markers in vitro.

The cellular task is their attraction for me. Their outcomes give preservation and activity more definite meanings than a general adjective about youth.

Cell persistence and animal outcomes

The early human-fibroblast telomerase experiment can be read beside the normal-cell and breast-cancer-cell comparison. The latter makes cell identity especially difficult to leave out of a summary.

The female-mouse lifespan study supplies maximum and mean lifespan outcomes, while the induced colon-carcinogenesis study in rats adds a specific tumour-model result. The complete subject of an experiment deserves as much space as its direction of effect.

Preparations and the wider account

The elderly-cohort follow-up concerns Epithalamin, alone and combined with thymalin. Its observational design and the preparation's identity both matter to the mortality association it reports.

The overview of Epitalon's proposed actions is useful for the breadth of the field and its acknowledgement of incomplete characterization. An outcome claim has to answer to a particular experiment.
